The Espresso Martini—or for those in the know: the EsMa—has been a favorite for years for anyone who loves coffee and cocktails. Creamy, bold, and just a little festive. Perfect as an after-dinner drink, but also ideal for making drinks with friends feel a bit more special. And the best part: you don’t need to be a bartender to make it well.
In this recipe, we’ll show you step by step how to make the perfect Espresso Martini yourself. From the right balance between coffee and alcohol to that signature foam layer on top. Ready to shake?

What you need:
- Pineut Espresso Martini Mix
- 250 ml vodka
- 200 ml strong coffee
- Ice cubes
How to make it:
- Fill the bottle with your vodka and wait at least 48 hours
- Add the coffee and ice cubes
- Shake it up!
- Strain through a fine sieve and serve immediately

But… why is it called an Espresso Martini if there’s no martini in it?
Good question. Originally, this cocktail was simply known as a vodka espresso—nice and clear. Until the 1990s, when the name suddenly got an upgrade to Espresso Martini. Why? Simple: anything served in a chic V-shaped glass automatically got labeled a “martini”!
